It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Friday Goodness, but I do have some things I’m pretty stoked about today. Here we go!

Tomorrow I am reading with dear friend and kick-ass poet Anna Evans at the Collingswood Book Festival. We go on at 2:30 p.m. in the poetry tent (if it rains, we’ll be in Collingswood High School, Room 120) and we have a fantastic set planned for you! Also, don’t miss the other very cool poetry events planned for the day, including a workshop by one of our favorite teachers, BJ Ward.

I was reminded this week of just how much I love Walt Whitman, his beautiful clarity and wisdom. This poem, especially, which I love enough to have it permanently a part of me. See?

I have several poems up right now in a few places:

Blood Lotus Journal: Letter to the Only Girl in JROTC; Dear Crux
Toad the Journal: What, Then; Obedience, My Father; Rapunzel Syndrome; Alice in Wonderland Syndrome
And a new poem going live tonight at Literary Bohemian – check there after 6 pm ET for “Suppose You Were a Clone”!

And finally, this song, which I cannot stop listening to:
