This series, which appears to pit the awesomeness of poets against the awesomeness of other poets, is exactly the kind of nerdiness I am looking for at 9:28 on a Thursday morning. Praise be to We Who Are About to Die!
And one of the things it reminded me is how much I love this Anne Sexton poem, “For My Lover, Returning to His Wife.” The detail, the sadness, the desperate love and resignation. It kills me every time.
