the darkening summer

I owed an update about California ages ago, and I haven’t written one. Something in me is holding me back. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it – of course I did, what could be more wonderful than spending time with people I love and haven’t seen in years?

But something has been nagging me, from the back of my mind. It’s something to do with writing, with being public, with exploitation. It’s something about keeping things secret, keeping things sacred. It’s something to do with how much I want to share with the world.
