poetry

projects

I realized over the past few months that, creatively speaking, I need to work in projects. Themes are good for me. Example: the creation of my final portfolio for photography seemed a lot less daunting once I settled on a theme. Something about a cohesive thread of narrative really appeals to me.

I finally have a tentative timeline for Imprimatur, and will be able to firm that up hopefully by the beginning of September. Right now I’m looking at a Christmas 2009 release date, which means, kids, that the perfect stocking stuffer for your poetry-loving friends will be available.

And, thanks to Donna V for the inspiration, I have a new series to work on – Urban Legends and Folklore. Poem 1 is underway, and naturally, it’s about Jersey’s own native legend. I feel like another mini-collection might be in order here.
