I’m stuck in a cold hotel in Philly for the day at a contract launch – acting as smiley HR person, answering questions and eating free food. Not a bad schtick, considering there isn’t much actual work to be done. So overall, it’s been a fairly productive poetry day: I submitted to two different journals (Sotto Voce and Boxcar Poetry Review). I laid out the bible poems project in Word, and then did a mockup of it on scratch paper (kindly provided by the Sheraton Society Hill). Tonight, I’ll start typing up the the first batch of pages.
There are a bunch of things I wanted to blog – I missed Blog for Choice this year, as I was drowning in a sea of mucus; I haven’t blogged the Getaway yet. There are some feminist issues that I considered doing a feminist round-up on. There’s the spaghetti taco incident. Too many things.
But right now, I think you should just go read this. It opened my eyes to the fact that I really, really, really need to be more knowledgeable about what I’m doing with my life – the big stuff, and the every day details.
