April 30: Wear Red to End Sexual Violence

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and you may recall that earlier this month I participated in Blog Against Sexual Violence Day. There are a lot of events that have happened during April to raise awareness of sexual violence, and I’ve missed a lot of them for a few reasons – but tomorrow is one that I will not miss, as it’s something really easy that everyone can do:

Wear Red.

Not only will you be commemorating Sexual Assault Awareness Month, you will also be lending your body to represent the various forms of violence that women of color experience every day. Take a stand tomorrow by wearing red: stand against sexual violence and violence against women of color. Let your body speak for you across cultural lines.

Join in.
Wear red.
